Adrenaline-Fueled Striped Bass Pursuit on the Pristine Backcountry Waters
It was a great day out on the water with Test Success at the Alexander Lake Lodge. April is a prime time for backcountry fishing in this area, as the warming waters bring the Striped bass close to the shoreline, making for some exciting action.
We had clear conditions throughout the day, perfect for spotting baitfish and casting to rising fish. I rigged up a variety of setups, from topwater plugs to live bait, and we started working the flats and channels, searching for any sign of feeding activity. It didn't take long before Test Success had a Striped bass on the line, putting up a great fight before we landed it. We continued working the area, and the bite stayed steady, with Test Success landing a few more hard-fighting Stripers.
The whole trip had a relaxed, enjoyable vibe. Test Success was a pleasure to guide, and we had a lot of fun out on the water, sharing stories and celebrating each catch. That's what I love most about these backcountry trips - the chance to really connect with the angler, find the right techniques, and put them on some great fish in a beautiful setting.
